Villa d'Este 2012: a complete photo report
Last weekend the classics event Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este took place. Especially the concept cars always get much attention. But there was so much more besides these concepts. Thanks to our reporter Daniël we now have a very extensive photo report where we try to give you a good impression of this event.
The concept cars get most of the attention on most car websites. This makes sense. Big names as Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato are present every year with the minimum of at least one concept car. Last year the Aston Martin V12 Zagato was presented, this year we see a BMW Zagato. BWM is sponsor of the event and therefore Rolls-Royce brings everyone to the event with a Phantom or a Ghost. As extra, the facelift Phantom was presented this year.
Twice in the three days a parade is held every year. This is to show the cars to the jury. There are several prices to win like the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este, BMW Group Italia Thropy and the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award. This year the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 won the event. The competitors were divided in nine categories of which the The Ferrari 250 Dynasty and the Heroes of Le Mans the most interesting are for you guys. In every category there were several beautiful cars, all in top condition. For passionates of classic cars, the Italian athmosphere and the beautiful ladies of Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is just a place where you have to be. When you had enough of all the classics there were enough beautiful cars on the parking lot. Enjoy this photo report of these beautiful event.
