We're looking at the Porsche 911 R

Last week, rumors were spread saying Porsche was working on a realy driver's car. Fifty years ago Porsche came up with a 911 R which was equipped with a more lightweight bodywork but without more spoilers. A same project is now started and if we have to believe our source this is the first photo of the racing monster we will meet next year.

Two weeks ago, during the Rensport Reunion at Lagunca Seca, rumors about the 911 R were discussed. The car will be limited and is already sold out. As we can see on the photos the car has widened fenders but doesn't have any extra spoilers. We recognize the set of wheels from the GT3 and they fill up the fenders perfectly. We're wondering which material Porsche will use for the bodywork to reduce the weight. Will they use carbon fiber or aluminum? On the photos we can see a new shape for the small rear windows. Did Porsche change this for an air intake and are these windows made out of plastic or another material? It's all guessing but it probably won't take long before we get more information about this car!
