Rumors are going around for years already but BMW never really built this model. This years, rumors are even stronger but still we're not sure that BMW will build a Touring version of the M3. The powerful M3 would be a welcome competitor of the C 63 AMG Estate and the Audi RS4 Avant. It's just that BMW doesn't like the driving dyamics of an M3 Touring for what they want to express with the M3.
Still the rumors are this strong that an artist went working on a rendering of what the M3 Touring would look like. According to the rumors BMW might even show a concept or production version at the IAA in Frankfurt. We think that's too early because we haven't seen any spyshots of such a model yet.
