Did you know...? Part one

Of every car, there is something special to find out. Like the Aston Martin Vanquish which could be bought as a 2+0 and a 2+2 version. Many people didn't know about this. At our forum, there is a topic going on which shows many different car-related facts. Of that topic, we picked out 10 nice facts for you and made a big "Did you know..."-special for you!

1. Did you know that there have been 515 Rolls Royce Phantoms spotted so far? And that more than 20% are spotted in London? In London 108 Phantoms were photographed.

2. Did you know that "Testarossa" means Redhead in Italian? It stands for the red cylinder heads of the Testarossa.

3. Did you know that at Koenigsegg they spent more time on designing the doors than on designing every other part of the car?

4. Did you know that an Aston Martin AMV8 Roadster uses more fuel than a Porsche Carrera GT? And that even a Koenigsegg CCX needs less fuel?

CCX: 17 litre/100 km

5. Did you know that the spoiler on a Lamborghini Lamborghini Countach and Diablo doesn't have any function whatsoever? It even brings the top speed of the car down.

6. Did you know that 150.000 litres of water are used for producing an average car?

7. Did you know that there are in total 13 Maserati MC12s spotted? Four of them were spotted in Monaco, that's more than 25%.

8. Did you know that one transatlantic flight takes more fuel than one season of Formula 1 racing?

9. Did you know that the brand TVR stands for the name of the founder? TreVoR Wilkinson.
10. Did you know that for the Ferrari 360 Modena there was an option of having a roof panel that was able to be removed? This option was only rarely chosen.
