A blue Miura shows up in Sydney

Right now, we are being treated to Australian gems. There's an abundance of highlights coming from the southern continent. It seems like the car season is at its peak. In recent days, we've had the pleasure of spotting some Sennas, a Huayra, and now, this breathtaking Miura.

Blue on a Miura is a color rarity. Apparently, blue wasn't very popular at that time because, so far, we've only seen eight different blue Miuras. Interestingly, this is only the second Miura we've set our eyes on in Australian territory, with the last sighting dating back seven years. After a bit of research, we discovered that there were once thirteen different Miuras in Australia during their heyday. How many remain now is anyone's guess; perhaps more, maybe less. In any case, most of them are part of collections and don't see much action. So, it's even more special when you come across such a cool spot like this.

The Lamborghini Miura P400 S made its debut in 1968 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was an evolution of the already successful Miura P400. The Miura P400 S was powered by a 3.9-liter V12 engine producing 370 horsepower (272 kW) and enabling a top speed of around 280 km/h. The design, executed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, was revolutionary for its time, with the engine placed in the middle of the car, an unusual feature back then. This design was so influential that it left a mark on many future sports cars. The Miura P400 S was incredibly powerful for its era and was considered one of the fastest production cars of its time, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.8 seconds. Production of the Miura P400 S started in 1968 and continued until 1971, with only around 140 units produced, making it a rare collector's item. The interior of the Miura P400 S was quite spartan, as was typical for sports cars of that era, but it did feature some luxurious touches like leather upholstery and a sporty steering wheel.

It's only fitting that someone like cel would upload these stunning images of this magnificent Miura on Autogespot. Once again, we're treated to breathtaking pictures – a true feast for the eyes.
