A magnificent 964 Speedster is spotted in Düsseldorf

Porsche has built a Speedster version for almost every 911 model. Some have fewer units produced, others a bit more. What they all have in common is that they are incredibly rare and are almost never spotted in the wild.

When it comes to sheer rarity, the Porsche 993 easily takes the top spot, since only two of them exist. Both are owned by Porsche. To see one, you would pretty much have to forget about it—unless you visit the Porsche Museum, where one of the two is on display. In second place is the 997 Speedster, with only 356 units produced. This model had a slightly different concept because, unlike all other Speedsters that were based on the top models like the RS or GT3, the 997 was built on the 911 GTS platform. It was also exclusively equipped with the PDK transmission. The 991 Speedster saw by far the highest production volume, with a total of 1948 units sold in no time. There were slightly one more 964 Speedsters than 930 Speedsters, with the 930 Speedster having 930 units produced. It’s notable that, no matter which Speedster model, they are extremely rarely seen. Most of them seem to be hidden away in some collection, gathering dust.

This particular model has a rather unique paint job. The base color is white, with red stripes running across the entire vehicle. The wheels are also painted white. Overall, it's a pretty cool look.
