The BMW 507 Series II is distinguished by its elegant and timeless design. The roadster was designed by Albrecht Graf von Goertz and is known for its flowing lines, iconic kidney grille, and distinctive round instruments in the interior. The 507 Series II is equipped with a 3.2-liter V8 engine that develops approximately 150 horsepower. This enabled a top speed of about 200 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 10 seconds. The BMW 507 was produced in an extremely limited quantity. Only 252 units were manufactured, making it an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after collector's car. Compared to the earlier Series I model, the Series II received some improvements, including larger headlights, a revised grille design, a new dashboard, and an improved convertible top with easier operation. The 507 gained prestige among celebrities and famous personalities due to its striking appearance and high performance. Among the most notable owners of the 507 are Elvis Presley, who acquired the vehicle during his military service in Germany, and racing driver John Surtees. Due to the limited production and appreciation of the BMW 507, some vehicles have undergone restoration projects over time to restore their original glory. These restorations contribute to the preservation and appreciation of the 507. This particular specimen looks as if it just rolled out of the factory, showcasing its pristine condition.
