It's an early Wednesday morning when we leave the Bundesautobahn 81 and enter a provincial road and head towards the village of Neckarwestheim. It looks like life is standing still when we see a Bäckerei where you can only pay cash and a 'Getränkemarkt' in a dirty shed. Every now and then, the city is woken up when a V8 or V12 enters the village. The hypermodern building of Vision of Speed is an extreme contrast with the rest of the village. While the door is opened we are welcomed by mister Schwarz and with the first sentence "everything is crazy here", we immediately know that were at a very special place.
Slowly, an AMG with 750 hp and a lovely V8 sound leaves the street and we enter the unique garage of Vision of Speed. We immediately see two unique supercars. The company Vision of Speed is lead by two passionate men who have gasoline in their veins. In the last years, we've visited quite a lot companies but Vision of Speed cant be compared with the other companies.
How is the company founded? The original idea of the building was a private house and a private garage for the cars but eventually, they founded Vision of Speed in the big garage of the house. There is a cinema to watch a movie and a big bar for private parties in a unique setting. We havent seen the house itself but we were told that it won several price for its special design and when you take a look at the garage youll know why. Were looking at a Novitec N-LARGO and a Gumpert Apollo S and thinking about this special situation. You have to imagine driving through a dead quiet village and all of a sudden you're standing next to an enormous private house with some of the most special sports and supercars. The N-LARGO is the first copy worldwide and produces up to 800 hp, the Gumpert Apollo S is one of the three build copies and is just as rare. On the top floor, a glass floor offers you a beautiful view on the Maserati MC12 below you. This MC12 is previously owned by Michael Schumacher. Wherever you look, youll see beautiful cars and other automotive gadgets like old gas stations and piece of art made out of old car parts. All around the building you find benches where you can sit down and take a good look at all the beautiful cars, a great detail in this garage.
Almost every sports or supercar in this garage is tuned to create an even bigger sensation. The only standard car is the Porsche Cayman which only got a bodykit from SpeedART. A beautiful Maserati GranCabrio, McLaren 12C Spider and Novitec Rosso 458 Spider are the perfect roadsters for next summer. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has more than 600 hp and the Ferrari F430 with Novitec Rosso bodykit produces more than 700 hp. Thats nothing compared with the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren which produces 1111 hp which makes it the most powerful SLR McLaren in the world. Tuner MBK replaced the supercharger by two turbos. This insane project is aiming to reach a top speed of more than 400 kph on the high speed track of Nardo. They already reached a speed of 370 kph on the Autobahn but now they want to cross the 400 kph border. Every car has something unique. But its not only about power and outstanding looks. The motives behind Vision of Speed are not only to collect special cars in their garage but also drive them. Too bad its raining today so we cant take one of the supercars outside.
