After 13 years this MC12 reappears in Rome

After 13 years, this MC12 resurfaces at last. This time, it was spotted in Rome, Italy.

There are cars that simply disappear. They are often stored in a garage or a hall with other cars, only to be brought out again and driven or sold at some point. Of course, we don't know if this MC12 might have been driven around in the meantime, just not seen. However, what we do know is that it certainly didn't travel much. The Maserati MC12 was produced in an extremely limited quantity from 2004 to 2005. In total, only 50 units of the MC12 were built for the road.
The MC12 drew strong inspiration from the successful racing car Maserati MC12 GT1, which competed in the FIA GT Championship. This racing version of the MC12 was extremely powerful and successful. Originally, the Maserati MC12 was developed to meet the homologation requirements for participation in the FIA GT Championship. This meant that a limited number of road versions had to be built to qualify the racing car.

The MC12 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that generates an impressive 623 horsepower and a torque of 652 Nm. This power enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just about 3.8 seconds and a top speed of over 330 km/h. The body of the MC12 has been carefully designed to ensure optimal aerodynamics. It features a large rear wing that is wider than the entire car, air intakes and outlets, and a smooth, streamlined shape that helps enhance the vehicle's stability and performance at high speeds.
Although the MC12 is street-legal, its strong connection to the world of racing makes it extremely capable on the racetrack as well. Its construction and technology allow it to deliver excellent performance both on the road and on the race circuit.
Due to its low production number and high reputation, the Maserati MC12 is considered an extremely exclusive vehicle. It is coveted by collectors and car enthusiasts all over the world.
