It is THE way to prove that your car can perform in all kinds of conditions, straight line, curves, good and bad pavement, altitude differences, etc. It is not the first time that Porsche is putting their cars to the test on the Ring, and this time they were on a mission. The folks from Stuttgart took the 991 GT2 RS to the Ring, and the expectations were high...
With 700 horses the GT 2 RS didn't just meet the expectations, it exceeded them on all fronts. The lap time was 6:47.25, and the average speed of 115 mph is simply out of this world. That is not just faster than the Lamborghini Huracán Performante, it is also faster than Porsche's own hypercar, the918 Spyder. And, it is even faster than the purpose built Radical SR8LM that circled the ring in a time of 6:48.28. Whether you are a Porsche fan or not, one thing for sure, the folks from Stuttgart really built an amazing track car with the GT2 RS.
