Another legend graces us for the first time: the legendary Porsche 959 Paris-Dakar. The car that brought the first big rally successes to the house of Porsche.

Born out of the innovative spirit of the early 1980s, the Porsche 959 is not just a super sports car but a pioneer in automotive technology. The development of this vehicle began in 1983 with the clear goal of not only providing outstanding performance on the road but also shining in motorsports. With its technological innovations, the 959 set new standards. The advanced all-wheel-drive system and variable suspension settings made it a trailblazer in terms of traction and adaptability. These features were groundbreaking not only for road use but also crucial for the success of the modified 959 in the Paris-Dakar Rally. The motorsport successes of the Porsche 959, especially in the Paris-Dakar Rally, underscored not only its off-road capabilities but also its ability to withstand extreme conditions. These races served not only as a test laboratory but also as a hall of fame for this powerful vehicle. From 1986, the Porsche 959 was also produced as a road car, with only 337 units leaving the factory. This road version was not only one of the fastest production cars of its time but also a coveted collector's item, emphasizing the exclusivity of this vehicle.

The limited production of the 959 contributed to its status not just as a car but as an icon in history. Its legacy is evident in later Porsche models that have inherited many of the technological innovations and the unwavering performance of the 959. This Paris-Dakar version is a true legend that actually exists only once. Occasionally, it is exhibited in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Therefore, it is nearly impossible to spot this vehicle on the road. Nevertheless, someone managed to do a small photo shoot with this rare car.
