Genaddi ends GTX1 production

Here in Europe, the Ford GT is quite a rare car. The guys at Genaddi (indeed, the guys that make roofs for the Murciélago Roadster) have been producing a special version of the Ford GT, the GTX1. It's a topless version. Now, they have announced they are quitting the production of this model at August 31, 2008.

The production of these GT’s will stop at 600 pieces. Almost all of these were sold in North America. Two versions were available, the GTX1, and a SEMA Edition, which had striping, a special orange colour and other little tidbits and paraphernalia. Only 100 SEMA Editions were made. On both versions, the base and tyres were modified. The V8 doesn’t produce 500 bhp anymore, but 700! There will be one last version of which only 10 will be made. It will be fully adjusted to the theme of “La Carrera Pan-Americana Road Race”.
