At this moment, Ferrari seems to have some troubles with the LaFerrari. Implementing a new technique isn’t easy but at this moment, Ferrari isn’t happy with their KERS-system. The problems were shown by a LaFerrari which ended in the gravel on Fiorano, but the problems go even deeper.
When the car was presented in Geneva, everybody expected the car to be ready. They were talking about the specifications, the new techniques and they said that this would be the new and best supercar in the world. Ferrari hasn’t completely developed the car yet and they will probably postpone the production to next year. The problem of the LaFerrari are the batteries of the KERS-system, as said by an engineer from Ferrari.
According to the engineer, a part of the problems come from the batteries. They don’t have a very long lifetime and they don’t function after a short period of usage. The problem isn’t the power because Ferrari gets all the power they want with these batteries. The problem is the fact that the batteries don’t recharge or even get shut off. At this moment, they’re not reliable and that’s enough of a reason to postpone the production until they fix this problem. Let’s hope Ferrari can fix this problem very soon.
