Aston Martin unveils the new Vanquish: The most powerful Vanquish yet

With the introduction of the most powerful Vanquish model ever, Aston Martin proudly announces the return of its legendary name. This new Vanquish, featuring cutting-edge technology and performance, represents a new chapter in the brand's renowned history. The engine is nothing short of impressive. It’s a hefty V12 with twin-turbo!

It had long been clear that Aston Martin was bringing back the Vanquish. It was also no secret that it would feature a V12. This is the highlight of the Vanquish, as it boasts the most powerful V12 ever delivered by the brand. The engine produces 835 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, and it meets the latest emission regulations for global markets. The top speed of the Vanquish? 344 km/h! It is the fastest production Aston Martin ever made.

Such a formidable powertrain requires an equally unmatched chassis. The chassis sets new standards for structural rigidity and provides the platform for a state-of-the-art suspension system capable of delivering impeccably tuned dynamics. Like its siblings, the DB12 and Vantage, the Vanquish is built around a bonded aluminum body structure with double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. Enhanced to deliver more focused and engaging dynamics, additional reinforcing components under the body contribute to a 75% increase in lateral rigidity compared to Aston Martin's previous flagship, the DBS 770 Ultimate.

The Vanquish also features a new design language. It expresses its contemporary elegance through its wide body and flowing curves. The key to achieving such a convincing presence is a longer wheelbase; the distance between the A-pillar and the front axle has been extended by +80 mm to elongate the hood for a graceful profile. It is also based on Aston Martin's deep connection with motorsport, with the design team drawing inspiration from iconic Aston Martins of both the past and present. Notably, the intricate functional details found on current Formula 1 cars and the sleek, flowing forms of 'Project Cars' developed from production models to racers at Le Mans during the 1960s. This motorsport DNA is evident in some of the defining features of the Vanquish; the hood, with F1®-inspired thermal vents to cool the V12 engine, and the distinctive Kamm Tail that helps reduce speed-reducing aerodynamic drag, a feature that was so characteristic of the Project Cars.

The interior, of course, will feel familiar. The new multimedia system has now been implemented in every model, marking significant progress for Aston Martin. In the Vanquish, you'll step into a modern car with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a touchscreen. No more outdated systems that made the car feel immediately old.

A maximum of 1,000 Vanquish units will be produced per year, ensuring exclusivity. Like all Aston Martin models, Vanquish customers can explore endless customization options through the Q by Aston Martin personalization service. The first units are expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year.
