Spotted in Charlotte (NC), United States of America

Older spotting, but still one of my favorite spots after all these years. We were driving up Park Rd back in 2013 when I noticed this R8 Spyder parked near Harris Teeter at the historic Park Road Shopping Center. We pulled into the plaza and I noticed that this was a V10 model, the first V10 Spyder I had ever seen in person (and a gated manual one at that!). Don't know who owned it, but it was parked here at Harris Teeter a lot for a couple weeks, then it disappeared and hasn't been spotted by anyone since.

Auto details

Topspeed 313 KM/H
Acceleration 0-100 KM/H 4.10 s

@NCspotter. A great looking car for sure. I love the gated shifter as well. With the exhaust note of that Lambo V10 plus the shifter mechanism only the outer skin will fool you not to believe that this is a true Lamborghini. well done, brother.

@Horse-Power it seemed that most of the R8s I saw when I first started spotting had gated manuals. It's only been recently that most of the R8s I've seen had the paddle shifters. Still one of my favorite exotics to spot, even if they've become somewhat common. Thanks as always for the comments!

@thomcarspotter thanks man! I think the owner had it wrapped in matte light blue shortly after I spotted it here.

@NCspotter. Hi Nick. The Ferrari event was just epic. For a practice session that was originally not open to the public the amount of spectators was awesome. $20.00 bucks for two days was the best money I can ever spend. A 15 year old Ferrari F1 car beat the latest track record repeatedly over those two days with the best time being 5 seconds faster than a modern Peugeot LMP sports car. 7 cars made the trip to Atlanta. The La Ferrari race cars were there along with the 599 and the Enzo FXX. V12's, V10's were belting out screams that you can hear from any part of the facility. I will send you a few pic tomorrow brother. This weekend also has been perfect weather wise. Anyways buddy, I will talk with you soon.

@Horse-Power just saw your email, definitely looks like it was an awesome event! I've watched a couple of videos with FXXs in them and they sound absolutely amazing. I hope that one day I will get a chance to hear one in person. Next weekend I hope to be able to attend a local annual Italian car show in Charlotte. There won't be any FXXs there (unfortunately), but I've gone to some of the meets in previous years and always had a great time. Anyway, thanks for the email and comment, and I'll talk with you later! I'll shoot you an email with a couple pics of some stuff I saw last Friday once I finish up some stuff here.

@NCspotter. Hi Nick. I cannot wait to read what amazing car show up at that Italian car show? Believe it or not the LaFerrari FXX cars sound just alright when you compare it to the screams of the V10, and V8 F1 cars. Even the Enzo FXX has the deeper soundtrack IMHO. I sent you a video link for the F12003 car that shattered the track record here in Atlanta. Its an in car view so turn up the volume and get an idea how incredible that exhaust note sounds. She is sooooo fast brother. Talk with you soon.
