Audi unveils R8 e-tron piloted driving concept

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Shanghai took place and this was the launch of some car manufacturers to unveil their latest technology. Audi uses this moment to unveil the R8 e-tron Piloted Driving Concept. A self-driving electric R8 with a range of 450 kilometers, but we can't think of anybody who doesn't want to drive an Audi R8 himself.

Audi's third autonomous driving car is based on the completely electric R8 and is equipped with the same 462 hp and 920 Nm of torque producing electric engine. This makes the car sprint to 100 kph in 3.9 seconds. The Germans explain that these technologies influence the steering of the car and will be used on mass production models within now and two years time. The information which is processed by the computer comes from a laser scaner, a few cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors. Soon we will see some movies of this autonomous driving R8!
