Cap-d’Ail, France just became the stage for a bronze showdown between two of the most talked-about V12s in the game right now, the all-new Ferrari 12Cilindri and Lamborghini’s flagship Revuelto. Both spotted in stunning, standout specs, finished in eye-catching bronze shades, and both drawing serious attention.

Let’s kick things off with the Ferrari 12Cilindri, and not just any 12Cilindri, but the one owned by none other than Shmee150. Finished in Oro Chiaro, it’s not just a beautiful color, but one with deep roots in Ferrari history. Only 16 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytonas ever left the factory in Oro Chiaro, and Tim decided to bring that heritage into the modern era with his 12Cilindri. And it absolutely works.
The 12Cilindri itself is a modern nod to the Daytona, with clear design inspiration, especially that black front partition and the long, flowing GT silhouette. But painted in Oro Chiaro? It transforms the car. I’ll admit, my first impression of the 12Cilindri wasn’t the most enthusiastic, but seeing it in this spec completely changed my mind. It’s elegant, retro, and bold all at once. Hats off to Tim for choosing one of the most historically rich and visually perfect specs out there.
And here’s a crazy coincidence for the Ferrari fans: before showing up in Cap-d’Ail, Tim’s 12Cilindri was first spotted in Monaco, the same place where, back in 2016, the only Oro Chiaro 365 GTB/4 Daytona ever spotted on our site made its appearance. That’s right, both the vintage and modern Oro Chiaro Ferraris were first seen in Monaco. How cool is that?

Also worth pointing out is a subtle but meaningful nod to Tim’s automotive history, the license plate. His 12Cilindri wears the plate “SH12 MEE”, which makes a perfect comeback on this V12 Ferrari. The “12” not only ties into the name 12Cilindri, but also highlights the car’s glorious 12-cylinder heart. Longtime followers will recognize this plate from Tim’s McLaren Senna, where it lived for quite a while. And even before the Senna, it was on another V12-powered machine, his Aston Martin Vanquish Volante Carbon Black Edition from 2015. So it’s a full-circle moment to see "SH12 MEE" back on a V12 car where it truly belongs.

Now, let’s address the other elephant in the room… or shall we say, bull?
Also spotted in Cap-d’Ail was the Lamborghini Revuelto, the raging V12 hybrid flagship, wearing a similarly eye-catching bronze finish, Bronzo Zante. Just like the Ferrari, this Revuelto looks absolutely killer in bronze. It's a refreshing change from the typical highlighter greens, stealth greys, and flat blacks we’re used to seeing on modern Lambos. And fun fact, this exact car was first spotted in Monaco, continuing the bronze-in-Monaco theme.

While Bronzo Zante isn’t the only bronze we’ve seen on the Revuelto, it’s definitely one of the most striking. There was a dark matte bronze example from the UK, so deep it almost looked grey until the light hit it, and another matte bronze one from Switzerland. Clearly, bronze is an underrated choice that really works on this bold platform.

To wrap it up: whether it’s the timeless Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, the retro-futuristic 12Cilindri, or the sci-fi fighter-jet Revuelto, they all look phenomenal in bronze. Each one pulls it off in its own way, but for me? The standout has to be the 12Cilindri in Oro Chiaro. That spec just hits differently, historic, bold, and beautifully executed.
