The Ferrari 328 GTS is a classic Ferrari and together with its younger brother the 308, it gave birth to a new era for Ferrari. For those that grew up in the time of Magnum PI, National Lampoons Vacation and the Cannonball Run, it brings back great memories and it was for many the first time that they associated Ferrari with a life of luxury and wealth. Till then Ferrari was known for its race successes, mainly in Formula One.
The new “small” Ferrari attracted a new blossoming market of youthful buyers that wanted to show off their success. The small V8 was powerful enough to impress at the traffic light, but it was a departure from the traditional V12 that Ferrari placed in almost every car. The Dino series changed that all, but it wasn't till the 308 and 328 series that Ferrari became successful in a new group that loved to show of their cars on the boulevard instead of racing their cars on the track.
