It's rare to see Carrera GTs in colors other than the standard ones—especially in such exotic shades.
Did you know that the Carrera GT was only available in six colors? GT Silver Metallic, Seal Grey Metallic, Black, Basalt Black Metallic, Guards Red, or Fayence Yellow. Any other colors came from Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur program and required a significant additional cost. That’s why these six colors are the ones most commonly seen on the road.
The brown on this particular Carrera GT, however, is just a wrap. But it doesn’t detract from the car’s stunning appearance.
Interestingly, we saw this very Carrera GT exactly a year ago (just a few days apart), and it was already brown then. In the past, though, it has had several other wraps, including white and red. What lies beneath the wrap remains a mystery—it could very well be one of the six original colors.
