Some of you may remember the Bugatti Veyron EB 18.4 Concept. It was first shown at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show to preview a new supercar for the Bugatti brand which was acquired by the Volkswagen group at that time. It will now be making it’s second appearance at the Salon Rétromobile 2014 in Paris this week.

The original concept had two extra cylinders with the interior and exterior similar to the current 16.4 Bugatti Veyron. However it took the company 6 years after the first unveiling of the concept to make a production car to keep up with the promise of the car producing a top speed of 400 km/h. Even though the company decided to use the W16 instead of W18 it still became the fastest production car when introduced setting a benchmark for other automotive companies.

The current Bugatti Veyron is coming to an end with less than 50 units left to be made so perhaps the second appearance by the EB 18.4 concept would give us a preview what to expect from the next generation of Bugatti Veyrons.
