Carmony rebrand for a bigger piece of the used car market

Carmony.co.uk is a Manheim brand that was established in 2008. As one of the UK’s biggest leading approved used car websites, Carmony specialises in vehicles for sale from franchised dealers. The company provide their customers with the right guidance and tools to aid them in their car search so that they can navigate the site as simply as possible.

The website also features an easy-to-use lifestyle search feature which is designed to help customers identify the most suitable car for their individual needs. One of the most popular features of Carmony is its daily report on the latest motor events, reviews and news which keeps visitors to the site up-to-date with all of the current motorist interests.
Recently, Carmony.co.uk have rebranded themselves in order to grab a bigger slice of the used car market. The focus of the site will shift more towards the exciting ‘premium’ used car market. This means that there will be a deeper focus around ‘new premium cars’ that are worth over £25,000. Of course, as always Carmony will have a range of used cars to suit every budget however with their new rebranding campaign, the used-car company will soon become the go to source for premium used cars such as the Lexus and Audi.
Premium used cars is a rather untapped niche in the online car market and by Carmony gaining the first mover advantage in this market they set themselves up for success.
Some of Carmony’s competitors in the market are not necessarily national brands. Take Premiumtradecars.co.uk for example, they are more of a regional based service. Carmony has the advantage of being able to find their customers their ideal cars from their local dealerships. All of the cars that Carmony.co.uk sell on their site are all ‘dealer approved’ which is a USP. This means that car-buyers can drive off in the best quality car possible.
The used car market is already deemed as being far too saturated already. Questions have arisen as to whether or not there is sufficient room for another player in the market. With other sites in the UK car market such as , Arnoldclark.com and Gumtree.com, is the UK car market becoming too crowded? Or is there a free space in the market for a premium used car focused company that has set itself apart from competing car dealers?
