Caterham unveils AeroSeven Concept

Caterham Cars wants to make a step forward with their company. That’s why Caterham unveiled a new concept car during the F1 race in Singapore, last weekend. The name of the car is AeroSeven Concept. This concept car gives a preview to the future of the company.

The AeroSeven Concept shows us that Caterham wants to break the limits and wants to raise the bar for sports cars with a high fun factor with their AeroSeven. With a unique, modern and advanced design, Caterham shows us new technology while the philosophy of the company is still the same. In cooperation with the Formula 1 team, they developed a carbon fiber bodywork. The AeroSeven is a hint to the new styling of the future models of Caterham including a new sports car which they’re working on with Renault.

The carbon fiber sports car needs less than four seconds to sprint to 100 kph. They’ve chosen for a four-cylinder engine that produces 240 hp. This same engine can be found in the recently introduced Caterham Seven 485. The four-cylinder engine loves to drive a high rpm and transfers the power to the rear wheels. The engine is attached to a manual six speed gearbox. Caterham is currently testing other possible options which can also be available with the production version.

Caterham is producing the AeroSeven in their factory in Dartford. Next autumn, the production of the production model will start.
