On the day that the automotive world fixed their eyes upon the new Corvette C7, it’s a good moment to look back at the ‘old’ generation, the C6. This already was a good sports car but Corvette thinks they can make the new Corvette even better. Recently, a C6 tuned by Callaway was spotted in Tucson, a good moment to take a look at the C6.
Callaway specializes itself in making V8’s more powerful by equipping them with superchargers. This particular copy has got a Eaton Roots-syle TVS3200 Supercharger which gives this C6 Convertible another extra 167 bhp. Standard, the C6 has got ‘only’ 400 bhp but with the total Performance Package this will rise up to 625 bhp. Callaway gives this sportcar a unique engine with an extra big bend in the middle of the bonnet, to show that there’s some serious stuff under the bonnet. Further, this Convertible has a Corvette Z06-look. This means that it has got extra air intakes at the side and another front bumper. The backpart comes from Callaway, it can be recognized by chromed exhausts.
