Kugelbomben are highly dangerous explosive devices, not intended for public use. As their name suggests, they are spherical projectiles, often weighing several kilograms. Designed for professional large-scale fireworks displays, they are strictly regulated in Germany. To purchase them legally, one must be a certified professional pyrotechnician, at least 21 years old, and have the proper permits. Additionally, these explosives must be stored in approved facilities, as keeping them in residential areas poses significant risks.

Among the material losses that night was a Berlin-based Audi RS6 Avant C8, a car well-known to local enthusiasts. First spotted in 2021 and frequently seen on Berlin’s streets through 2023 and 2024, the vehicle was reduced to a total loss due to the explosions.
