Driving around like a highlighter

The 918 Spyder is one of the few cars that actually looks great in this colour. The colour is called Acid Green, and back in the 2010s it was used by Porsche as the signature colour for hybrid technology. You could recognise a Porsche hybrid from a distance by its brake calipers, which were painted in Acid Green. Since the revolutionary hybrid supercar 918 was all about hybrid technology, Porsche even offered the entire car in Acid Green.

Only a very small number of 918 Spyders were painted in Acid Green. There are just nine of them worldwide, and only one of those does not have the Weissach Package.
At the time, Acid Green was still a brand-new colour and was essentially associated with hybrid technology. Nowadays, it has become more or less a normal PTS colour that can be selected for almost any Porsche. By now, we have seen almost every Porsche model in Acid Green, from a regular Cayenne all the way to the GT2 RS. But in my opinion, it suits the 918 best.
The only downside, or an advantage depending on how you look at it, is that this colour makes you stand out completely. You are basically driving around like a highlighter on wheels. It is hard to get much more attention than this. And then you are doing it in a 918 Spyder, which already has an incredibly striking shape.
