Every now and then we receive some nice stories from spotters. Now that we’re active in a lot of different countries, we don’t only get stories from the Netherlands but from all across the world. We received the following story from spotters group Huntercars-photography from Morocco who had some fun with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in Marrakech.
Since 2009, a race from the World Touring Car Championship is held at the Moulay El Hassan Circuit in Marrakech. This results in the fact that a lot of supercars and sports cars can be found in this beautiful city where the weather is great, this time of the year. The story of the SLS AMG started on 5 April, when Huntercars-photography managed to spot a beautiful Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. They met the young and passionate owner of the supercar. They talked about spotting in Morocco, photography and of course about his 571 hp strong SLS AMG. The owner gave the spotters the chance to meet the next day and do a little photo shoot. Next to that, the owner was looking for a road which was quiet enough to reach the top speed of the SLS AMG, 310 kph. After taking pictures in the day and afternoon, it was time to floor the pedal of the SLS AMG. Speeds between 295 kph and 310 kph were reached. This was an incredible experience and a dream came true. You don’t drive that fast every day.
