Jaguar can use a boost in their sales in Dubai and that’s what they’re trying to achieve with some special models. The SUV, C-X17 is one of the most beautiful SUVs we’ve seen over the years. Jaguar brought this car to Dubai, together with another concept car of which we’re wondering what the final result will look like.
The other car is a one-person sports car, the Project 7. There is some room for a passenger but the bodywork of the car isn’t made for a passenger. This car is built to be a real race car. Jaguar also shows this with the colours of the car, the bigger bumpers and the big spoiler. Jaguar wants to offer you pure speed and driving fun, although we don’t understand why you can’t take a passenger. The V8 with supercharger produces 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque which makes the Project 7 sprint to 100 kph in 4.2 seconds. The car has a electronically limited top speed of 300 kph.
The C-X17 is a completely new model. The SUV market will get, just like the station wagon market, an interesting new competitor with Jaguar. The C-X17 has a very nice design, which is completely like we’re used to from Jaguar. The white colour looks better than the blue copy on the IAA in Frankfurt. Certain details like the headlights will still change but the major of the design shows the SUV which has to compete with Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
