Jaguar shows two beasts during the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood festival of Speed is an annually race event. It is a party in honour of the motorsport and the car culture and an English manufacturer can’t miss a festival like that of course. That’s why Jaguar brought along two special vehicles to finish the traditional Hillclimb in no-time.

Jaguar is going to bring the Jaguar Goodwood Special XKR and the Jaguar Bonneville XFR. The first is a one-off built specially in honour of the event. The light green XKR is motorically tuned but Jaguar won’t say how much horsepower it has got. The appearance was modified too, we see a special lime green colour and a lot of dark grey details like the grills, the striping and the rims. The car was lowered and has a different body kit, which improves the handling of the car. They also fitted a sports exhaust to accentuate the sound of the 5 liter V8. Jaguar wants to show with this car what they are capable of with the XKR and that apparently is a lot!

The second car, the Jaguar Bonneville XFR, is the fastest Jaguar ever. This XFR prototype was heavily adapted by the Jaguar guys, they recalibrated the ECU, enlarged the air intakes, reprogrammed the supercharger and with all this the Jaguar was capable of reaching a top speed of 362 km/h on the Bonneville salt flats. A very high top speed of course and that for a sedan. The aerodynamics were slightly adapted for the Goodwood Hillclimb, the large wings are quite useless, but it will be a spectacle if this car is driven up there. If we can obtain some film material of these two cars, we will surely show them to you!
