Spot of the day: Treser Roadster TR1

Today we don't have a spot of the day, but the spots of the day. After all the crazy cars from London we wanted to show you this rare car. This spot of the day is an exclusive car. Or actually two, because only twenty of these cars have been produced. That is just as much as the Lamborghini Reventón.

We're talking about two Treser Roadster TR1's, 99% of the visitors of Autogespot probably never heard of this car. It is a German lightweight convertible from the 80s. Only twenty examples have been produced so with this spot we have 10% of the production. The car is like a prototype in which the engine of the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been tested. This lightweight roadster is powered by a four cylinder with 170 bhp, not bad for a car from 1988. With it's 170 bhp the Treser Roadster TR1 speeds to the 100 km/h in 8,7 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. Of course that is nothing compared to the power of the cars today, but twenty years ago it was quite crazy.
