The Total 24 hours of Spa are held this weekend at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. This is not the only thing we noticed when we knew this was going to happen. The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo cup was also going to be present. A cup for people that want to take everything out of a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.
Of course the LP560-4s aren't totally stock. The engine doesn't produce 560 but 570 bhp. Just a little extra power, but in combination with the lightweight 18" racing rims, stripped interior, and an aerodynamic package the Lamborghinis are a lot faster than the production versions. On the circuit of course. The Lambroghinis have also been fitted with steel brakes. The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo cup is the only category in the racing scene with four wheel drive.
Last thursday during training we were present to see this ultimate racing category for the wealthy. Here we found out that even a Dutch team takes part in these races.
