The Saturday of the Pirelli World Challenge Series and IMSA Tudor Races at Belle Isle Detroit started with a lovely weather and great temperatures. A great racing weekend lay ahead of us with factory sponsored teams. Corvette and Mazda brought prototypes for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
The Belle Isle Grand Prix brings several racing classes. Saturday afternoon it started raining and this ruined a lot of strategies. The team of Chevrolet, which was a bit more powerful than the others didn't have a great change of strategy and that's why they had to fight with Honda during the race. Eventually, thanks to the rain, the races were very interesting. Here's a second set of photos by Nate Hutton.
