While Ferrari unveiled the 488 GTB at the Geneva Motor Show, the new model is already spotted at the streets. Menikmatiphoto managed to take some great shots of the 488 GTB on the streets in South Africa.
Ferrari doesn't seem to be finished with testing the 488GTB. This exotic was spotted while it was slightly camouflaged. According to the photographer the test drivers weren't too happy with Menikmati's attention and they even requested him to delete his photos. The technicians didn't expect to be bothered while testing the new model in Cape Town. On the photos we can clearly see the differences with the 458 Italia. Especially the enormous air intakes at the side make the 488 GTB look more muscular.
For the first time in 40 years after the introduction of the 308 GTB, Ferrari opens a new chapter in the history of the mid-engine V8. The 488 GTB is Ferrari's answer to the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 and the McLaren 650S Coupé which are both less powerful. The 488 GTB is powered by a 3.902cc V8 turbo engine which produces 670 hp at 8.000 rpm and a maximum torque of 760 Nm.
