Ferrari wants to be more exclusive again

While all other manufacturers hope for a growing demand, Ferrari does the opposite. Last year, they produced not less than 7300 Ferrari’s and CEO Luca di Montezemelo thought that was too much for an exclusive manufacturer like Ferrari. For that, sales have to be under 7000 cars per year. Quality goes before quantity is di Monetezemelo’s motto.

With reducing prices Luca di Montezemelo thinks they can give more attention to customers, with more satisfied customers and more specialized Ferraris as a result. Of course most of us won’t see a Ferrari on daily base, but we do understand what he means. Maybe Ferrari has a less exclusive image than it had about ten or twenty years ago. Not only their model range became wider, but also the group of customers grew massively. It’s a remarkable dilemma of which everyone has its own opinion. Would you like to see more Ferrari’s or more exclusive Ferrari’s?
