For the first time we see a Lotus Evija

Lotus' hypercar was introduced in 2020. Four years later, the first driveable model has finally appeared, and it’s in eastern Spain.

In fact, this isn't the first time a motorized Lotus Evija has driven on its own; a prototype was seen at the Nürburgring a year ago. Now, we can see the nearly factory-finished model in all its glory. While this hypercar is fully electric and there's not much to say about its 2,000 horsepower and 1,700 Nm of torque, the design is much more appealing. Like most electric cars, it's a rather emotionless box. But not when it comes to the design. The Lotus designers have put a lot of thought into it. The ultra-futuristic design looks more like a car from the future than from the present. The two massive air vents, which also form the taillights, seem to come from another planet. This vehicle also has a retractable spoiler. All this has been packed into an incredibly compact vehicle. Unfortunately, it is fully electric. A hypercar where you can't rev the engine. No emotional-sounding V12 or V8. Somehow, an electric hypercar seems incomplete. But surely this vehicle will find its buyers.
