In June 2011, the new powersaloon of BMW, the M5 F10 was presented to the world. Months before the introduction, this car was already spotted. Of course it was camouflaged, so the the only detail we saw were the four characteristic exhausts. In the following article we want to tell you everything about the four testing models of the M5 F10.
The first spot we want to show you of the M5 F10 is a spot from 2010 on the highway in Spain. We can see the four exhausts, showing that this isn’t an ordinary BMW 5-Series. Further we only can see a lot of camouflage, BMW tried to make it look like a 7-Series due the silver line with red reflectors on the trunk. Also there are loads of other panels which hide the lines of the car.
Then we go a whole step forward in time. All extra panels are deleted and replaced by BMW’s wellknown psychedelic stickers. The standard 5-Series was already introduced so the public already knew the big lines. The camouflage stickers make the aggressive lines and M-details less visible.
At this spot we can see the big lines of the M5 F10. The stickers on the line of the back door are deleted. We can see that the developing is coming to an end. The M5 F10 was showed to the public during the M-Night at the Nürburgring.
The camouflage is almost completely gone. Only small details are hidden behind a sticker. Several testing models in different colours are spotted now.
All camouflage is deleted, except for the BMW-badge. The car will be at the dealer soon and on the streets too.
The car is spotted without any camouflage, but we can see the text ‘Werkstestwagen’ on the back of the car, which means that BMW is busy with some final checks before they deliver the car to the first customers. At that time several M5’s in different colours are spotted.
