Geneva 2013: New Carrozzeria Touring Disco Volante

A mix of Italian sports cars, that’s what this car is. The front bumper looks like an Alfa Romeo but the headlights come from the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The wheels are from Alfa Romeo again and the grill has a fluorescent logo. What do we think of this car. Didn’t we see this car before? Yes we did!

We don’t really like this car. The car looks a bit old-fashioned and that’s a thing you just have to love. It also seems to be a bit high, which makes it almost look like an amphibious vehicle. Than the back, this looks more modern with tight lines and small taillights like Ferrari. The name Disco Volante refers to the Alfa Romeo C52 from the fifties. The references to Alfa Romeo aren’t that strange because this car is based on the 8C Competizione. Under the hood we still find the beautiful sounding V8, which produces 450 hp. We don’t know if this model is still just as fast as the 8C Competizione. We do know that this car isn’t as beautiful as the car it is based on.
