In Geneva, this was still a concept car but meanwhile, Maserati confirmed the Alfieri. That’s great news because we were really impressed by this Maserati!
Between 2014 and 2018, Maserati has planned six models. Two of them are the Quattroporte and the Ghibli. Later, other models like the Levante and Alfieri will be added. The Levante was introduced on the IAA in 2011 named as Kubang, luckily Maserati choose a better name for this car.
The name Alfieri comes from one of the Maserati brothers. He was an engineer and one of the founders of the ‘Officine Alfieri Maserati’ in Bologna. The Alfieri is created in the Maserati Centro Stili in Torino by a group of young and talented designers. We expect that the Alfieri will be equipped with a V6 twinturbo which we know from the Ghibli. Next to that, they might even add a V8 version later.
In 2017 and 2018, we will probably also meet the successors of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio
