As is customary with Ferrari today, where there's an even more extreme variant of almost every model, this was already the case in the 1960s. This is the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione.

The 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione was produced from 1959 to 1962. The term "Berlinetta" suggests a two-seater coupe body known for its elegant lines and aerodynamic efficiency. The "SWB" (Short Wheelbase) in the name refers to the shorter wheelbase compared to other 250 GT models, contributing to its agility.
The 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione was powered by a 3.0-liter V12 engine that offered impressive performance for its time. Depending on the configuration, the Competizione's engine could produce power ranging from approximately 240 to 280 horsepower, allowing the car to achieve a top speed of over 240 km/h.
This specimen was spotted in the picturesque French Alps at Col du Galibier. This sighting marks the first time this Competizione has been seen, making it a top spot here on AutoSpot.
