We already knew that Lamborghini would bring this car to Frankfurt but here it finally is, the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce Roadster. The specifications is something we won't need to tell you much about. Compared with the 'normal' Aventador Roadster which produces 700 hp, the SuperVeloce produces an extra 50 hp and weighs 50 kilograms less.
An interesting historical fact about this all is the fact that Lamborghini was already planning to build an SV version of the Diablo Roadster back in the 90's. This model wasn't really planned to be the top of the range model but it was the entry level model with rear-wheel drive. Eventually Lamborghini built six prototypes but when Lamborghini was bought by VAG, the project was cancelled. These six prototypes are very beloved nowadays, not only because they're so rare but also because they lost a lot of weight compared with the VTs.
The question for now is: will the Aventador SV be the top of the range model? Or will Lamborghini come up with an even more extreme version in a few years? Only time will tell...
