Ferrari 250 GTO's livery is an inspiration for this F12berlinetta

The Ferrari F12berlinetta is already spotted in yellow in Monaco, quite a while ago. When this car was spotted we already hoped for more copies in exotic colours. The following copy is unique and it won't be strange if this is the only copy in these colours. It isn't a standard version available at Ferrari so it's probably just a choice of the owner. Did he base his version on a classic Ferrari?

That classic is the Ferrari 250 GTO. Next to the big yellow bumper, the colour scheme is almost identical, which shows that the colours don't only look good on the 250 GTO. The livery on the 250 GTO with serial number 3445GT was chosen by the third owner, Ulf Norinder, who started racing with this car in 1963. At first, the car was painted in red but Ulf choose to paint the GTO in the colours of the Swedish flag.

Compared with the 250 GTO, the Ferrari F12berlinetta is way more developed. More technology, a lot more power from a V12 and a sharper design. The age difference between the cars is more than sixty years and we can't think of the fact that the Ferrari F12berlinetta will probably have the same status as the 250 GTO in another sixty years. Maybe, Ferrrari will come up with a very special GTO version, but that will probably take a few years.
