It's Ferrari Friday and today we've got a Daytona SP3 from the Icona series stealing the show. Despite being relatively new, this car's already an icon and a total head-turner! It was spotted cruising down the highway in Werkendam, Netherlands, its vibrant red paintjob gleaming in the sunlight. The interior's full blue alcantara provides a striking contrast against the red exterior, and those gold wheels? They add a touch of class.
One detail that stands out is the personalized license plate. In Belgium, owners can customize their plates, and this one reads 'DAY-SP-3,' which is a really cool extra touch to an already incredible car.
Since 2021, our site has logged 126 Daytona spots from various places, including many factory test cars. Among these, 66 were first-time spots across different cities, suggesting there are about 50-60 distinctive SP3s spotted on our site out of the 599 units that were built, that's already quite a number!
What's really neat is the variety of colors we're seeing. Sure, red remains popular in glossy and matte finishes, but we've also seen purple ones, including a chameleon-painted beauty that shifts colors at different angles and light. Blues ranging from light to dark, greens from mint to forest, classic yellows, and even a striking brown one from Belgium. Not to mention a couple in white, grey, and plenty of sleek black ones, plus two in silver.
Back in the day, Ferraris mostly came in red, especially classics like the F50 and F40. Now, thanks to programs like Ad Personam, we're seeing a rainbow of custom hues, making these special editions even more unique.
It's awesome to witness this evolution in Ferrari's color palette and to see these stunning cars hitting the road in such diverse shades.
