IAA 2013: Audi nanuk quattro concept

Audi shows a new concept car in cooperation with Italdesign Giugiaro, in Frankfurt. A concept which would fit perfectly in the desert of Nevada. They’ve chosen for a diesel technique to show that current diesel engines aren’t boring at all.

The bodywork is made out of carbon fiber strengthened plastic and the exterior is painted in the colour Extreme Red. Angular, extravagant and uncompromising, that’s how the two companies describe the design of the nanuk quattro. Important is the fact that this design will probably return in the future models of Audi. This dynamic sculpture on big wheels will start a new chapter in Audi’s designs. Another refreshing thing is the hexagonal single-frame grill.

Audi has chosen for a five liters V10 engine, an amzing engine which always has enough power. The engine has 1500 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. Next to that, the power of 544 hp isn’t a bad thing either. On the road, the nanuk should be capable of a sprint to 100 kph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 305 kph.
