Those who want to buy this car in China need to pay up to $778.000,- The government sets high taxes for exclusive cars but this won't stop the rich Chinese. At this moment, China is the second largest market for Rolls-Royce and this year they will probably become the largest market. The Bentley Continental GT will probably lose a bit of their share because of the Rolls-Royce Wraith which is more exclusive as Bentley's limousine.
South China Morning Post had an interview with Rolls-Royce's CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, who is very positive about the development of the Asian market. China passes the United States and isn't the only succesful country for Rolls-Royce. Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines are also very succesful. Rolls-Royce recently opened a new showroom in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. These markets have a big potential. But the most remarkable about these markets are the prices. All these countries have enormous taxes which makes the cars very expensive, but still Rolls-Royce manages to sell a lot of cars!
