Saab is not exactly a very unknown brand but until recently we couldn't find Saab on Autogespot. This had to do with their model range. They make great cars, but they aren't that exciting. The Aero-X is a very interesting concept and Saab is proud to show this car and that's probably why they transport this concept without any camouflage. Spotter DownTheHill used this opportunity to spot this car!
The Saab Aero-X is all but new. This concept is from 2006 and we can see several styling elements in the Saabs that followed this model. When you take a better look you will see that the front windshield continues in the side windows. Saab invented a special system that makes it possible to step into the car. The roof is released to make this happen. It's logical that we won't see this in a production car but despite that it's a great invention. Under the hood we find a powerful 2.8 liter V6 which produces up to 400 hp. This results in a great performance thanks to the four-wheel drive. You can sprint to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds and the car has a top speed of 255 kph. Unfortunately we can't test it because Saab only built this concept!
