The best of Stefan Sobot in 2013

We still have some 'best of 2013' articles left. This time it's up to Stefan Sobot. He represents the spots from Serbia, just like spotter Gotti_Belgrade. Enjoy the six best photos of Stefan Sobot.

It is never an easy task to pick favorites, but this year it was even harder than usual. I improved so much compared to last year,I had so much amazing trips and shoots this year and I finally upgraded to a DSLR camera. At the end I decided to pick three shots form photoshoots and three from spotting, so here we go.

This was one of those 'pinch-me-to-see-if-this-is-dream-or-reality' moments. A unique Ferrari, in Belgrade, in front of my camera. But it wasn't all bread 'n' butter however. The car arrived and hour after we should have started, and due to that we had to find new location on the move. My trusty old L22 was in Greece at that moment, so I had to borrow equipment for this. To top that all out, it was an unbelievably hot day. But all that 'suffering' paid off, even though I made only ten shots during this first shoot, they all turned out amazing. Wide lens (11-16 f/2.8 Tokina) and that arch certainly helped to add the atmosphere. Also it was natural light and nothing was photoshoped in, which made me proud. Anyway, wide angle, accurate colour, natural lighting and the car made me pick this photo as my favorite.

Same shoot, same reasons. Natural light and wide angle, which isn't usually used for interior shots and makes it look unique. Proper exposure is also a bonus. Nothing is underexposed so you can see all the details properly.

Final meeting with the FF and this time he brought a friend. This is one of the rare shots I like from this shoot, and I like it because the FF and the 612 are separated with different white balance. The FF is under yellow light and the 612 is in the colder part of the photo which shows the difference between these two cars. I placed the cars and framed it on purpose like this, to highlight the difference between the cars even more and to give the cars the proper space in the frame. Also this is I think my 37th shot with my new camera so it is pretty damn special to me.

My favorite spot and spotting shot of the year is made here in Belgrade. I always wanted to spot a 458 here, but there simply wasn't any to spot. I am pretty damn happy how the shot turned out. Natural flare, the colour turned out nicely (although I had to do some minor fixing and that's the only editing I did), a nice location and obviously, super sexy car. Reflection in the window helps a lot too!

Another 458 Spider, but this time in Vienna. I almost deleted this shot from my camera, because I thought that it was useless (high ISO,Hyundai, etc), however just a little bit of editing turned it into 'masterpiece'. I think that it shows Ferrari's perfectly timeless and beautiful design. Who would have thought that just a bit of selective colouring can change the shot so much? It's now sitting, printed and framed, above laptop that I am using to send this mail, that's how much I like it.

I picked this shot simply because it shows the beauty of the city as well as the car. Perfect location in my opinion. The dramatic sky helps as well. However that doesn't mean that the car isn't good. It's actually opposite of that. I always liked the Evora, just because it's so weird that Lotus for once didn't build a track focused car, but something that you can use everyday. Out of all angles of that car, the back 3/4 is my favorite, because it shows the lines of the car, and that silly center exhaust pipes. Also the colour is interesting here, because it's creating contrast to the dark sky and overall atmosphere.
