What do KTM and Dallara have in common and why does this Dallara look like this? These and further questions we ask ourselves here, read on...

Dallara is primarily known for its racing cars, with the Dallara IR8 being particularly notable. Dallara was founded in 1972 by Giampaolo Dallara in Parma. Giampaolo had previously worked at Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and De Tomaso. In 1997, Dallara participated as a manufacturer in the Indianapolis 500 for the first time. Team Cheever, led by Eddie Cheever, immediately won with the Dallara IR8 that year. In the following years, Dallara achieved great success, winning the Indianapolis 19 out of 20 times. From 2008 onwards, the grid consisted exclusively of Dallaras.

Dallara also began working on other vehicles; for example, they contributed to the Alfa Romeo 4C and 8C. They also had a significant collaboration with KTM, which in 2008, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, introduced its first car: the KTM X-Bow. In 2017, Dallara presented its first road-legal car for Giampaolo Dallara's 81st birthday: the Dallara Stradale. This car boasts 400 horsepower with a weight of 855 kg, almost a 1 to 2 ratio!
And to complete the circle, this is the Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute Edition. A special edition in honor of the first Indianapolis victory. This is also available for the Dallara EXP, of which we have not even seen regular examples yet. And because the victory is already 25 years ago, only 25 copies of both models were built. A rare appearance, and where else but in Monaco!
