Timeless elegance: The enduring appeal of old Maybachs

There's just something about the old-school Maybach 57 S from 2011. The new Maybachs under the Mercedes-Maybach branding are undoubtedly cool and luxurious, but there's a special charm about the original models.

Here are some cool facts about the Maybach 57 S:

Performance: The 57 S is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine, producing 603 horsepower and 1,001 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds.

Luxury: The interior features opulent materials like hand-stitched leather, fine wood trim, and advanced technology for its time, including a sophisticated entertainment system and rear-seat amenities.

Exclusivity: The 57 S was a symbol of exclusivity and prestige, with a limited production run ensuring its owners were part of a very select group.

Design: The 57 S had a distinctive and elegant design, characterized by its long wheelbase, stately presence, and attention to detail in every aspect of its construction.

One aspect that I'm not a fan of is that Mercedes doesn't use the Maybach emblem on the front or rear of the newer models. Instead, they keep the Mercedes star, which feels less fitting. I believe it would be much more appropriate to have the Maybach emblem adorning the front and rear instead of just on the sides. Interestingly, some owners have taken matters into their own hands, swapping the Mercedes emblems for the original Maybach emblems after purchasing the car.
