Just in time for Halloween

Some cars are so frightening that they almost make you jump when you see them. Today, we are not talking about the Fiat Multipla, but rather the CEER Exobot, a vehicle that remains largely unknown to most people. Its design is like that of a zombie in the automotive world.

It reminds me more of an outrageous design concept than an actual production car, and I have always had a soft spot for those. This vehicle has a design that could easily rival the Tesla Cybertruck. We are talking about the recently unveiled CEER Exobot, Saudi Arabia's first fully Saudi-developed electric super SUV.
What immediately stands out is its rather unconventional shape. There is also a non-SUV version of the car, and I honestly do not know how to classify it. It is certainly not a saloon, nor is it a coupé. Perhaps we could simply call it a doorstop on wheels. Its design bears a certain resemblance to the Lancia Stratos Zero.

The SUV version essentially follows the same design philosophy, but with a taller body and increased ground clearance. Naturally, both versions are fully electric. Beneath the futuristic exterior lies an advanced tri-motor architecture developed in close collaboration with industry giants BMW and Rimac.
With a combined output of 850 hp and an instant 1,000 Nm of torque, the Exobot Sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an astonishing 2.6 seconds, despite measuring more than 5.20 metres in length. The SUV follows closely behind, completing the same sprint in 2.9 seconds.
This performance is made possible by an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture powered by a 112 kWh battery. The sedan offers a claimed range of up to 670 kilometres under the NEDC testing cycle. When the battery runs low, DC ultra-fast charging at up to 350 kW allows it to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes.

The technological revolution continues inside the cabin. The dashboard is dominated by a gigantic, curved 48-inch display with 8K resolution, stretching seamlessly from one A-pillar to the other. Steering is handled by a state-of-the-art steer-by-wire system, which eliminates the conventional mechanical steering column and transmits steering inputs entirely electronically. An active four-wheel steering system further enhances agility.
Since the vehicle has been developed primarily for the global market and the extreme climatic conditions of the Middle East, the engineers have implemented what they call the "Halo Cooling System". This high-performance air conditioning system can reduce the cabin temperature from an unbearable 65°C to a more comfortable 32°C in just 10 minutes, even in extreme desert heat.

Barely has the vehicle been unveiled, and we are already seeing the first example wearing camouflage, spotted right in the middle of Poland. It seems the people at CEER are serious about bringing this rather unusual creation to the roads. Let's wait and see what happens next...
