Lamborghini Revuelto: The perfect successor to the Aventador LP700-4

We’ve seen a lot of Lamborghini Revueltos being spotted over the past year, and here we have another sighting. This is the 8th one on our site, coming from Switzerland, and it's finished in a stunning dark green shade. It also has silver and black wheels, with red brake calipers giving it that perfect extra pop of color. At first, many weren’t sure about the Revuelto, but I truly think it’s a worthy successor to the Aventador. The number of Revueltos we've seen so far speaks for itself - people really like them and are buying them too.

Now, while most would compare the Revuelto to the final Aventador models, like the SVJ or the Ultimae, I don’t think that's the right way to look at it. You can’t really compare the Revuelto to those cars. If you want to make a real comparison, you’ve got to look at the very first Aventador - the LP700-4.

Aventador LP700-4 vs. Revuelto

When the Aventador LP700-4 launched in 2011, it was a major step forward for Lamborghini. The car came with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 700 hp. It was fast, aggressive, and set a new standard for supercars at the time.

Now, the Revuelto is a completely different beast. While it still carries the legendary 6.5-liter V12 engine, the big difference is the hybrid system that’s paired with it. The total output is 1,001 hp, which is a huge leap from the LP700-4’s 700 hp. The Revuelto is faster, more powerful, and more efficient, thanks to the hybrid system. Plus, it’s more advanced when it comes to handling and driving dynamics, with improved suspension and more refined steering, making it sharper and more responsive on the road.

When it comes to design, the LP700-4 had the sharp, aggressive look Lamborghini is known for, but the Revuelto takes it a step further with more modern touches. The lines are cleaner, the aerodynamics are more sophisticated, and the design as a whole feels more streamlined. The Revuelto still has that bold Lamborghini presence, but it’s been refined to match modern supercar standards.

On the inside, the LP700-4 was a great place to be, but it was more focused on performance and driving experience. The Revuelto takes things up a notch, with a more high-tech, futuristic cockpit. It has a fully digital dashboard, multiple touchscreens, and much more connectivity and driver-focused tech. The interior is more comfortable and luxurious, but still keeps that performance-first attitude Lamborghini fans love.

When it comes to driving experience, both cars deliver in their own way. The LP700-4 was a raw, untamed powerhouse that would give you that thrilling, loud experience that only a Lamborghini can offer. The Revuelto, though, balances that raw power with more refinement. The hybrid powertrain allows for more precise power delivery, making it feel smoother and more controlled, while still delivering that unmistakable Lamborghini punch.

So, while it’s easy to compare the Revuelto to the final Aventador models like the SVJ or Ultimae, it’s much more fitting to compare it to the Aventador LP700-4. The Revuelto takes everything that made the LP700-4 special and evolves it with more power, more technology, and a more refined driving experience. It’s not just a successor; it’s the next chapter in Lamborghini’s supercar legacy.
