It's ready! The first Ferrari 458 Italia with the bodykit from Japanese company Liberty Walk built in Dubai. It's a bodykit which will shock a lot of people! The car is built by Simon Motorsport together with Kato, the founder of Liberty Walk. It's now time to take this car for a ride!
When everything goes as planned, Patrick will make a report of this Ferrari in Dubai, next weekend. That's the perfect moment of an extensive photo and video shoot with this brutal supercar. The Liberty Walk is a completely over the top Japanese product. Liberty Walk's approach for this big modifications is different than we're used to from other tuners. Most tuners want to build a completely different car, like Mansory for example. That's not what Liberty Walk wants to do. Their approach can be compared with the JDM approach only for an Italian supercar.
JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market, cars from the Japanese market. But the JDM approach is more than that. It's a subtle and refined styling method where the original lines of the car are very important. The car need to keep the original lines but do need to look more aggressive. Combine this style with tuning a Ferrari 458 Italia and the result is a unique combination. Ferrari purists probably won't like this way of tuning. The most important about the kit is the fact that it's really unique. The widened fenders, the enormous wheels and the big spoiler on the back. Everything is made out of carbon fiber, just like the roof. The result looks just amazing!
Engine-wise nothing's changed, the V8 still produces 570 hp. The Liberty Walk 458 is more of a show car than it's a race car. The car still will get some matching stickers, which we will see on the photos.
